QuickDNSCheck ("we", "us") operates the website at quickdnscheck.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We have designed our tools to be privacy-respecting: DNS, WHOIS, and related lookups run in your browser and are sent directly to public DNS/RDAP providers — we do not operate a backend that stores the domains or IP addresses you look up.
Information we collect
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymized usage (pages visited, approximate region, device type). This helps us improve the site.
- Local storage: Your recent-lookup history and dark-mode preference are stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us.
- Lookups: When you use a tool, your browser queries third-party public resolvers (e.g. Google Public DNS, Cloudflare, RDAP services). Those providers receive the query under their own privacy policies.
Advertising
We display ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
