DNS Speed Test
Benchmark public DNS resolvers from your own browser to find the fastest for you.
Measures DNS resolver latency from your browser. Runs automatically.
What this measures
This benchmark times how fast major public DNS resolvers (Google, Cloudflare, Quad9, AdGuard and others) answer queries from your specific location and network. Because it runs in your browser, the numbers reflect the latency you'd actually experience — not a benchmark from some distant data center.
How to use the results
Lower is better. The fastest resolver for you depends on your geography and ISP, so the winner here is often a better choice than a generic "fastest DNS" list. To change your resolver, update it in your operating system or router network settings.
Frequently asked questions
Latency depends on your location, ISP and network path to each resolver, so results are personal. That's the point — it shows the fastest resolver for you specifically.
No — only the DNS resolution step. DNS is one part of page load, but a faster resolver can make every new connection start sooner.
Some resolvers don't support browser-based (DoH JSON with CORS) queries, or may be blocked on your network. Those are skipped.
